GRAPHIC DESIGNER AUG 2020 - MAR 2022
Nashville Wraps - Hendersonville, TN
- Worked as a custom print packaging designer and design consultant for small businesses.
- Designed custom logo art and prepared existing logo art for Hot Stamp, Ink Print, and Digital Print on a variety of packaging products. Products I designed art for included paper gift bags, gift boxes, ribbons, and stickers.
- Headed the initiative of converting decades of old templates and documents from QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign.
- Designed digital and print ads for online social media accounts and magazines.
- Designed layouts in the yearly published catalogs of products that were sent to customers. Proofread copy, cleaned up design, and prepared the final InDesign document to be sent to the publisher for printing.
- Updated product information and photos on the company website as needed.
- Photographed large batches of products in a studio setting, and prepped and edited photos to be used as SKU images on the website..

GRAPHIC DESIGNER JUN 2018 - APR 2019
University Relations, Virginia Polytechnic Institute - Blacksburg, VA
- Took complex visual problems and translated them into print and digital designs for both internal and external needs of the university.
- Completed anywhere from 2 to 10 projects in a two week period.
- Collaborated with team members and stakeholders, which included development teams, project managers, communication directors, and content strategists, to bring my design projects to life and to best communicate the university’s message.
- Took ownership of large projects and all their print and digital components. Followed them through to launch or publication.
- Strove for continual improvement in brand expression and design, and took all opportunities to expand my skill-set and expertise.
- Projects included: branded ads, event flyers, a limited edition book, PowerPoint presentations, logos, brand assets, and photo production/editing.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN AUG 2017 – MAY 2018

- Designed 2-3 promotional 11x17 posters monthly for school events and art shows on campus.
- Collaborated with professors and faculty on design projects, created mock-ups, and revised projects based on feedback.
- Created social media content for the Art Department Instagram.
- Maintained strict adherence to the university brand and style.

PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN SEP 2014 – AUG 2016

- Worked as a photographer to take photos of university events for the school’s website, printed promotional material, and social media.
- Edited and submitted photos for review within a 48 hour window.
- Photographed collegiate sport events and edited/submitted the best shots on the same day.
- Regularly submitted my work for critique and improved my work based on my advisor’s feedback.
